COFFEE CULTIVATION

A. INTRODUCTION

Coffee plants are plants that are very familiar in the yard of the rural population in Indonesia. If we can use this tremendous potential it is not difficult to make this commodity a mainstay in the plantation sector. Only need a little technical touch of the right cultivation, our hope is optimistic in reality.

PT. Natural Nusantara strives to realize this shared hope with a technical and product guide package without forgetting the K-3 Aspect, namely quantity, quality and sustainability which is now one of the competitive conditions in the era of globalization.

B. PREPARATION OF LAND

For mountainous land / sloping for terraces.

Reduce / add fast-growing protective trees about 1: 4 to 1: 8 from the number of coffee plants.

Prepare mature manure as much as 25-50 kg, spread Natural GLIO, let stand one week and make a planting hole 60 x 60, or 75 x 75 cm with a spacing of 2.5 × 2.5 to 2.75 x 2.75 m minimum 2 months before planting

C. MENTIONING

Prepare quality seeds from trees that are known to be produced usually from trusted seed breeders.

Make a box or soil for seeding with a layer of sand about 5 cm thick.

Protect with midrib or paranet with a gradual reduction if the seedlings have grown.

Flush the seed regularly by looking at the wetness of the soil.

Seedlings will germinate approximately 1 month, select healthy seeds and transfer them to the polybag with liver so the roots do not break at the age of seedlings 2-3 months from the start of the nursery.

Add NPK fertilizer as basic fertilizer (see table) until the age of 12 months.

Pour SUPERNASA dose of 1 tablespoon per 10 liters of water, take 250 ml per tree from the solution.

After 4 months old seedlings spray 2 caps of POC NASA a spray tank once a month until the seedlings age 7-9 months and ready for planting.

Note: The type and dosage of fertilizer can be in accordance with the recommendations of the local agricultural service. Pay attention to soil moisture so that the seeds are not exposed to leaf rust attack.

D. PLANTING

Add manure with the top soil mixture when planting seeds.

Try to plant during the rainy season.

Do watering the soil after planting.

Avoid the risk of death of new plants from livestock disorders.

E. COMBINATION

Implant immediately if the plant dies or the symptoms of growth are abnormal.

Embroidering is done early in the rainy season.

F. DYING

Do watering if the soil is dry or dry season

G. FERTILIZING

NPK fertilization is given twice a year, namely the beginning and end of the rainy season.

After fertilization should be watered.

Note: The type and dosage of fertilizer are in accordance with the type of soil or the recommendation of the local agriculture service

How to fertilize a small hole is made around the plant as far as ¾ the width of the canopy, the fertilizer is inserted and covered with soil. It would be better plus SUPERNASA organic fertilizer dose of 1 bottle for ± 200 plants. 1 SUPERNASA bottle is diluted in 2 liters (2000 ml) of water to be used as a mother liquor. Then every 1 liter of water is given 10 ml of the mother liquor to water every tree or flush or boil SUPERNASA 1 tablespoon per 10 liters of water every 3-6 months.

If the plant has already been produced add fertilization special fertilizer, namely POWER NUTRITION. POWER NUTRITION is an organic fertilizer specially formulated to stimulate optimizing growth and increasing fruit production in coffee plants. POWER NUTRITION is made from a variety of natural ingredients that contain essential nutrients that are needed by plants to increase fertilization. Giving POWER NUTRITION can be mixed with SUPERNASA fertilization with the same dose as the dose of SUPERNASA.

For maintenance of  POC NASA spray 3-4 caps + HORMONIK 1-2 lid per tank every 1 month.

H. SUMMARY

Perform regular pruning after the end of the harvest period (cut the weight) to regulate the shape of growth, reduce the branch of water buds (double), reduce evaporation and aim to form flowers, and repair damaged parts of the plant. Pruning at the beginning or end of the rainy season after fertilization

I. CONTROL OF PEST AND DISEASE

a. Pest

Coffee fruit powder (Stephanoderes hampei) attacks on fruit storage and while still in the garden. Prevention with PESTONA or BVR alternately.

Brown and black branch borer (Cylobarus morigerus and Compactus) attack branches and branches. Prevention with PESTONA.

Dompolan lice (Pseudococcus citri) attack flower buds, young fruit, twigs and young leaves, prevention using PESTONA, BVR or PENTANA + AERO 810 alternately.

b. Disease

Leaf rust disease is caused by Hemileia vastatrix, preventive Natural GLIO spray.

Upas Fungus Disease is caused by Corticium salmonicolor: Reduce moisture, wrinkle and preventive apply a stem / twig with NASA's Natural GLIO + POC.

Black root disease causes Rosellina bunodes and R. arcuata. Marked with yellow leaves, wilted, hang and fall. preventive with Natural GLIO.

Brown root disease causes: Fomes lamaoensis or Phellinus lamaoensis preventive with Natural GLIO.

Brown spot disease on leaves by Cercospora cafeicola Berk et Cooke prevention with Natural GLIO.

Dead end disease on twigs. The cause is Rhizoctonia. Preventive use Natural GLIO.

Note: If pest and disease control with natural pesticides has not been overcome, the last alternative can be used as a chemical pesticide. In order for spraying to be more evenly distributed and not easily lost by rainwater, add AERO 810 Wetting Adhesives to 0.5 bottle cap for one spray tank (15 liters)

J. HARVEST

Coffee will produce from the age of 2.5 years if treated properly and the fruit has shown a red color which covers most of the plants, and is carried out in stages according to the fruit's maturity.

K. PROCESSING OF RESULTS
In order to be prepared in advance the drying place, stripping the skin and also storing the harvest so as not to be damaged by post-harvest pests. Harvested fruits must be processed immediately 20 hours after picking to get good results.

Causes of Rice Coffee Damage:

Wrinkle seeds: the origin of the fruit is still young

Perforated seeds: coffee is attacked by powder

Reddish seeds: Not clean enough to wash them

Broken seeds: the peeling machine is not perfect, comes from fruit that is attacked by powder, when stripping with a coffee machine it is too dry.

Broken seeds are followed by discoloration: vaporizing machines and separating the skin with seeds are not perfect, fermentation in wet processing is less than perfect.

Stripes: incomplete drying, too long stored, too humid storage temperature.

Pale Seeds: too long stored in a humid place

Skinned seeds: Drying is not perfect or too long, during artificial drying the initial temperature is too low.

The seeds are black gray: the artificial drying is too high.

Dark brown stains: on artificial drying, coffee is not stirred frequently.

Currently PT. Natural Nusantara has released 2 new superior products as refinement of previous products, namely Greenstar Powder Organic Fertilizer and Modern Supernasa Granule.

Organic Fertilizer GREENSTAR powder is packed with very practical and economical. As well as in the Greenstar product, there are elements contained in POC NASA and HORMONIK  products. And organic fertilizer Modern Supernasa Granule is also packed in the form of a solid granule so it is more practical in its application and the price is more economical.
